okay i know a lot of people have said PDL can't arrest me, but this morning i came to work and she said i need to call them and pay otherwise they will come get me, what should i do when they call back? and how do i find out if these online payday loans are allowed to loan in my state? Need advice a.s.a.p thanks. and what places consolidate Online pdayloans? thanks everyone

ok,here's something that might give you some answers,visit pollyand says blog at http://pollyandsay.yesdebtfree.org/ They don't have debtors prison anymore and alot of the internet lenders are operating illegally-check out the blog-there's alot of info there-keep us posted...Karen

Which online company is it that is threatening you? There are a couple of places that will consolidate online pdl's but if you've already overpaid them you should not have to pay anymore.

not sure which company it is, i had FTR Processing do that but im paying them , and then a place called Easyloans, said i was going to be charged with internet fraud etc., and i really couldn't understand this lady, not good english, anyway she said if i don't pay they will be on their wway to pick me up. so if they call back what do i say, b/c i know they can't harass me right. thanks for the help everyone.

They're just trying to scare you. You can't be arrested for defaulting on a PDL. A lot of these companies figure that the average debtor doesn't know his/her rights or the laws, and they use claims of wage garnishment, arrest, etc. to scare people into paying them right then and there. Don't fall for it. If you get a threatening call again, just hang up.

In any case, you have the rights to know about the debt account. You must put a formal request in writing to the loan company that you want to see your loan statement. If a collection agency is contacting you, the debt needs to be validated before making the payment. The CAs are legally required to give you the information.

what had happen was i had to close my account b/c i lost my purse and it had my checks in in and so then i opened another one well , they don't access to it and i really don't want them to i work as a legal secretary but our company doesn't deal with stuff like this so im not sure what is true what they said. so can they get me for internet fraud, i mean it was my account i just had to close it out. and some don't want to take payments.

well get this alot of these places claim not to be CA'S that they are in the processes of legal and they are informing me of the lawsuit etc.
