This is a great site with great people, with fabulous information at our fingertips. One thing troubles me, however: Why are PDL places advertised on the top of it? If anything, these should be the last places that should advertise here, if you get my drift!
Many of us, myself included, are trying to get PDL free, and I feel that this is like an AA meeting taking beer ads!
Just my two cents...

There are ads for pdls on some screens, look at the very top of the page, you will see them on some of the screens.

No no.. It's not the way as you are assuming. These are google ads you are seeing at the top. Many people have expressed their discomfort about this.

Google is using their automated softwares in the internet. Payday loan companies paid google to advertise their business in the relevant areas where they can pick business. We are often typing the word "Payday loans" here and in many other places. Since this word is typed here, the automated softwares display one of the payday loan ads for which the PDL company spent money on google.

It is an annoyance, but you get used to it after a time. They are definitely not there to tempt or tease us!

I hear you guys, but these ads are so against who we are, IMHO--also, I'm afraid that they might tempt a poor soul on this site for the first time. Just my 2 cents...

Also, these advertisements defeat the message we are trying to get across of how bad they are. New people seeing this may think we are actually promoting them, when in actuality we are against them.

I have never seen a single ad on this site. Or on any other site I browse.
