Anyone know the Statue of Limitations in WI? I was told either five or six years. Does that mean if No payment is made on a credit card for that six years, they can not come after you?
Thanks

Statute of Limitations in WI is valid for 6 years. Any payment before the contract with the creditor is breached will toll the SOL period and the date of last payment will be called for calculating the SOL.
When the debt is past the SOL, no company can sue you in the court. The debt will still remain valid and you are free to pay that anytime even after the SOL expired.

Is that from when the claim was opened or reported?

In general states do not have SOL for traffic violations. The ticket will remain in effect until paid or satisfactory settlement is made. In most cases a warrant will be issued if the violator does not pay the ticket or appear at a court hearing on the date specified.
