Does anyone know if Cash net 500 is licensed in Ohio, i don't believe they are but i was just wondering. I had someone call me today and said that they didn't get my payment ( which they never attempted to take out of my bank account) and that i needed to call them back to solve this voluntarily or further action would be taken. I have paid them about 200 dollars, but they say i still owe them more, but if they aren't licensed in ohio they i only have to pay the prinipal amount.

Help me out on this matter... i have contacted Langhorne law about this, I have signed on with them, but i still would like to know what my rights are with them...

I don't know if this is the dba for CashNet or not, I had a loan with CashNet and they seemed to follow OH pdl laws. They didn't allow roll overs and they charged the legal interest rate, and actually gave me a discount on the interest rate for paying it off a few days early.

I searched the licensee database for Ohio and they didn't come up. They definitely didn't follow any of my state's guidelines, and when I brought this up, I got a spiel about how they only follow UT laws because they are based in UT, and they don't have to follow any other state's payday laws.

Amanda, I've just pm'd you the link to look up licensees in the Ohio database, in case you need to check on any other pdls.

If CashNet 500 is not licensed in OH, post your complaint with the AG and with the Div of Financial Institutions. This is the address:

Regulator: Ohio Division of Financial Institutions
Address: 77 South High Street, 21st Floor Columbus, OH 43215
Phone: (614) 728-8400
http://www.com.state.oh.us/dfi/

How much loan did you borrow from the company? The company must have a license before doing business in your state. They violated the law by not being licensed. And for this, you have put your legal complaints. Regarding the loan you have taken, you are required to pay the principal amount and the legal interests and fees allowed by your state after taking the advice of your state senator.

Have you checked with the company if your money is posted towards the account? They should be able to give you the latest balance. Your bank statements will be an important document in case of any dispute.

Cashnet 500 is not licensed in Ohio. They are a so so company to deal with. They used to e-mail me at home and fax me at work. I sent them two certified letters, they refused the first one. The second one got through to them. They would never reply to any communication that I sent them. They have since stopped contacting me but keep everything documented when dealing with them. If you have retained Langhorne Law, then let them know about the situation. I'm sure they will take care of it. Smile

AmandaB--

I have retained Langhorne Law also and Cashnet500 had contacted me twice. The first time I haven't retained Langhorne yet, but the second time they called I had retained Langhorne Law and I let the attorney know about this. He said that he had good contact info for Cashnet500 and he would get in touch with them. That was almost 2 weeks ago and I haven't heard anything back from Cashnet500 anymore Very Happy
