I think the guest is in the wrong forum. We are here to help each other, not tear each other down. We can go anywhere else, including our own backyards to get torn down. Disaster problems don't usually happen one at a time, they usually come in groups. I find Beauty's situation totally plausible simply because she stated it. I believe in giving people the benefit of the doubt. And, so what if she's being a "drama queen", is it affecting your life in anyway? Does it change the way you pay your bills or perform at work? Let Beauty express herself. Last time I looked, that right was guaranteed by the Constitution. Hang in there Beauty. Right now things are turbulent, but they'll get calm again.

Deb, I hate to say it, but the same Constitutional right you speak of also applies to Guest. Whether you like what they are saying or not it is a public forum and they also have the right to express themselves. People come here all the time and post things others don't agree with that is just a fact.

Granted. I wasn't tell the Guest he couldn't express himself, just trying to get him/her in line with the idea that we should be here to help each other, not tear each other down. And yes, sometimes we do get off the subject of debt issues, but along with debt issues comes trauma and the inability to focus. We have to help in those areas so we can show people how to stop focusing on themselves internally and rise above the situation so they can see their situation logically, not emotionally.

And my opinion on those suffering from any type of mental distress and/or trauma is that they should seek help from a licensed therapist or other licensed mental health provider.

Go pound salt up your a$$ guest!
Beauty, I have had the BEST jobs from agencies. The last one before I decided to go back to school I made 24$/h, if i worked saturdays 38$/h and it was alot of fun.
You get the chance to try new things and it looks great on the ole resume becuase you can name the company rather than the agency.
Dont be afraid to try factory work. Its not like it was in the old days. Some of the new factories are really neat to work in and the pay is usually good.
Good luck.

My bet is the Guest who posted above about the salt is probably the same Guest who posted the thread that he/she is ripping on now! Good poster/bad poster all rolled into one. I am a manager at a temp agency and I can tell you for a fact NO ONE makes $24.00/hr and $38.0/hr on Saturdays. If that were the case, everyone would be going to temp agencies. Get real Guest.

I have to say, though, the "salt" comment was one of the more original ones. Not a pretty mental image though.

Actually, temp mgr, you are wrong
I am an HR rep for one of the biggest energy corporations in the US. We are currently in a forced outage..And a lot of temp workers were hired to work out in the coal plant. These unskilled contractors are making almost $30 an hour. We also have some temp admin assistnts who are making between $20-$25. It just depends where you go...

OK finsfan13, we can disageee. And if you feel better saying I was wrong OK then.
My agency does not pay that kind of money. Not even close. We do food and function temp services. I do appreciate your reply, and now want to be a manager at your agency!

It depends on what jobs are in the area that need filled.
Most temp agencies around where I live, you can make anywhere from about $7/hr to $15/hr.

And I think we can voice our opinions--Positive or negative without calling eachother names.
I was a very bad emotional wreck when I came here....And the "cheerleaders" I had at this site really pulled me through. This site really needs to get back to those days. Big time. But I'll save my rant for another day when I'm not so cranky.

I agree, Jessi. There's been a lot of negativity on here lately. I say that's one new year's resolution for all of us.
