I had a loan with Geneva Roth that I defaulted on. They tried to collect from my account under the name of Geneva Roth and I disputed the charge with my bank...this morning, I found that they took 2 debits under the name check recovery checks.
Does anyone know if this is really Geneva Roth? The amounts are the same which made me wonder...

Have you checked if your account with Geneva Roth is now with any collection agency with the name Check Recovery checks?
I will search if Geneva Roth has other DBA names. Go to your bank and tell them about this activity. Making debits using different amounts is unauthorized. They can block them from doing debits with different amounts.

Right now, the debit is pending, so I can't do anything with my bank. Once it posts to my account, I can dispute it, so I will be making another call to my bank, and will be disputing both of these...and opening a new account and not giving my account to ANYONE...

That would be a smart move, Guest, to open a new account and not give out the information. Many of us here have had to do the same.
