Why can't I get the debt collectors to work with me. If I got behind because I couldn't afford forty dollars month. Where do they think I'm going to come up with one hundred

debt collectors will sound that they will not work to your arrangements. This is because they handle a lot of files in a month and don't want to put in much time behind one consumer. They want to get the account paid in full and move to the next file
You can still make a payment that you can afford at this time. They need to post it towards your file. If they don't, inform your legal law enforcement agencies.

Do you have more then one account in collections? If you signed up for the free consultation here they should be contacting you soon and help you possibly work something out.
The collectors do not have to agree to a payment plan with you but if they do take whatever payment you send legally
they have to post it to your account.
If its a valid debt I would just send them what you can on a consistent monthly basis(if at all possible the same amount monthly). At least it shows effort on your part.
Also if these debts are still with the oc and not actually sold to the collectors you could still possibly work something out with the oc.
