Message to everyone whoes recieveing harrassing calls from collectors!

If you get a VIOP line your calls are recoreded each month like a cell phone!

This works very well when theyre trying to threaten you to pay a bill that youve never heard of or belongs to someone else.

You dont have to change your number in most cases and you can easily block any number from calling you by pressing a * feature and its included in the monthly bill which is much lower than regular phone bills.

I dont work for a phone company, just trying to help everyone out a bit.

You can go back as far as 6 months for a record of ALL calls, times and dates, some of them even list the company names when they call from a private extention, but from the company line!

I just filed a complaintr against one of those India credit card phone scams who wouldnt stop calling me with an auto dialer and I had all the numbers they called from that were marked private.

Its cheaper, you get all the features and you can kick some legal a$$ for 1/2 the price of regular phone.

Again, dont work for a phone company, I make cars... Just sayin...

Did they keep asking if you were so & so, then get ignorant when you tell 'em your not? I've had some calls for another person during the past year. Those were some pretty funny conversations, too.

Needless to say, I haven't had any more calls for another person in a very long time!

That’s a good info. I think it helps consumers bypass the laws for phone call recording right?

Also, DebtCC members can use the Free Phone system while making calls to CA or rude creditors. It gets recorded automatically and it’s free!

Wish I had thought about the free phone calls when LVNV was being mean, nasty and harasing!!..KAren They still call, I just don't answer, and take note of every time they call

Every time LVNV passes my account to another of their agencies, I send them a DV letter too, along with copies of ALL the other DV letters to their other companies they haven't validated!! I also send a paper of all the calls, names, dates and what was said during all of this. This has been going on for a year now!!..Karen

Depending on where you live mishele it may be a part of your regular telephone service.....the keypad deal * (star) 71 or 72, check with your provider to be sure

OOOKKK. I think I should have made myself a little clearer. You dont get voice recordings just all numbers called and recieved are listed - even local calls. Only VIOP has this feature and its included in the price 29.99. VIOP is internet phone like Primus or Vonage. All your * features are included as well.

Might be good when filling complaints if you have a legal record of how many times they call and at what time.
