Has anyone dealt with this company before? I received a statement saying I owe for a BMG account, but I don't remember having an account with them.

Use your federal rights on this collection agency. You must ask for the details for which they are collecting. Federal laws state that the debt collector should send something in writing within five business days after placing the first call. If you haven't received anything in your mail, send a DV letter through certified mail with return receipt requested. The ball will be in their court and will be forced to provide proof.
