I've been hanging around on the sidelines here for a while, and I've got my first question. Does anyone here know who this number belongs to? I tried doing a google search, and even went to that "who called us" web site, but nothing came up. I got a call from someone named Chris that said he got my file a few weeks ago, and needs me to call him to "hear my side of the story, so they can decide how to proceed." He sounded very nice on the message, not mean and nasty like some others (Bass). I mean to call him back, but I wanted to see if anyone out here knew who that number belongs to first. Thanks! Razz

Yeah....that's from my old Checkmate PDL. It's a storefront, so I made payment arrangements with them, but had to stop paying them after only 2 payments. I had to change jobs (long story) and almost got divorced becuase of all the money that was going out to these leeches. So, to save my marriage, I stopped paying them. I'll give Chris a call and set up new payment arrangements. Thanks!

Good luck! If you have more than one pdl to take care of, you might consider consolidating them or using a company such as Langhorne Law to settle them, and stop yourself from being bled dry by the fees.

Good idea. I have about 4 store front PDLs that I sporatically pay, as I have the "extra" funds. Yeah...right. Having them gone would be a great feeling. I might actually be able to answer my phone again!
