What do I do now?

I wrote last week about my experience with First Resolutions Management. My account was moved from another CA to them just recently. I had not received anything in the mail, so i called FRM and spoke to a someone who was very professional and I asked him to send me a letter stating what the debt is for and how much. He said I would receive the letter in a few days, he didn't give me any trouble.

Well, this was Tuesday and I still have not received anything in the mail. They havent even called me to demand anything, Im pretty sure this debt is valid cause i owed bank one money then it got charged off to unifund then it went to them, i have been following this trail.

What do I do know? I dont understand why they havent reached me or sent me anything. Its not like im not trying to pay this, I've managed to save enough money where i could pay them the whole balance even with added interested.(although I would like to work something better out) do they not want my money?

I had a bad feeling about this, any help would be much appreciated because i dont know what to do now.

Well,
You were lucky enough to run into one of the few professional collectors that are left.If he has not called you yet,I would give it a few more days. They are legally bound to send letter after first contact is made.

In the meantime check your credit report for recent activity. If you decide to settle with them, try to get him to agree not to report or delete their activity if on your credit reports in exchange for payment.

Hi Phacia,

As suggested by cajun, give the letter a few more days to get to you before you start worrying too much about this. Since they have had phone contact with you, they are bound by the FDCPA to send a letter out within five days of the phone call. It may take a little longer to get to you in the mail.
