i received this letter too.... how did this "company " get my information? some one need to explain what this letter means! is the company real?

Thanks for the info, just got the letter today, not sure what its for our who was trying to collect but i filied chapter 7 and been discharged a few months ago- good luck suckers!!!!

Mne... Can you let me know what letter you're speaking about?

Mao... If you had included the debt in your bankruptcy filing and then got it discharged, then the debt collector won't be able to come after you. If they do so, it will be considered as fraudulent. You should contact your bankruptcy attorney and check out what steps you can take in this regard.

Just got the letter at a rental house of mine.
Funny thing though, it's addressed to my mother who has been deceased for ten years now.

If your mother was one of the owners of the property and if you did not remove her name from the property deed, then the lender can send the notice addressed to your mother.
