I was away from my desk, and the woman who answered the phone here said I received a call from a "Alex Divine?" from US National Bank.....1-877-403-0003....She told me that he told her to tell me that I was a "primary suspect" and I needed to call him ASAP.......
Input please!

Tweety - My advise, call them!! A phone call goes a long way...
And if they are violating the FDCPA, then you'll have some serious proof!!
I just googled "US National Bank" and the fourth or fifth item to come up was something about "us national bank vs. 419 nigerian check fraud"
That shouldn't scare you.
But the real US Bank, is a legitimate bank operation...
Call these people back - maybe you could win $1,000,000 - LOL

OK- I called back and spoke to Alex.....He told me " I think you know what this is about" He went on to say that there was NUMEROUS charges against me....US National does NOT want my money...They want to see me processed......He asked me if I was currently on probation and have I ever been arrested. He gave me a case number. Told me that I was to be "picked up" at 1:00 at my place of business......now what?

Did he say he was from US National Bank? If so, he's misrepresenting himself!! These people don't have a clue!! I think these debt collector places hang out, outside of prison gates. They offer these released convicts jobs - doing telephone collections!! :-S (could be true. I have nothing against people who've been to jail, etc.) I'm just making a joke...

Well lets think about this rationally..If they do not want your money then why would they even call to tell you that they are coming to pick you up at your place of employment for arresst?? They wouldn't!

I agree with you Leah- He said US National Bank did NOT want me money...He said that 2 times....Investigator Alex Divine basically in my opinion was reading me my rights......telling me I had the right to an attorney, if you could not afford one, 1 would be given to you......I asked 2 times what the total balance was, he said he didnt know but that didnt matter because they didnt want the money they just wanted me processed.....
They would call me just to say " your going to be picked up" for internet fraud, bad checks.........have I ever been on probation, or arrested........sounded funny myself.....I should of just looked at old threads but the fact that he told the woman origionaly that answered the phone that tell her that she was a "prime suspect" I thought was a bit much......

Yes I agree it was a bit over the top...However, they cant read you your rights over the phone, they have to do that at the time of arrest and while they are hangcuffing you, its called due process of law. Secondly, they are not going to call and tell you you are being investigated. IF you were being investigated, an officer would show up at your house to speak with you first and then place you under arrest...I have never seen law enforcemnt contact their prime suspect beforehand to give them opportunity to leave town or the country....Its some kind of collection agency(probably a sister company of BASS AND ASSOICATES...didnt you just send them a complaint about the way they treated you and all that?) I bet they pushed you over to a sister company so that if you filed another complaint it wouldnt be on them....Maybe someone should call them back and tell them that they are being downloaded and that the FBI is coming to get them at 1...besides how many times have we all been threatened with this? My attorney told me to stop calling them back after I told him about it the first couple of times...

Yes, I did file a complaint against them and got a response mid last week from them...It was from David Jacoby....I was a liar and they NEVER operate that way...he said I made the whole thing up and that I should "rethink" the conversation that took place........I cant file another complaint can I?

SEems to me that you may have p*ssed them off by filing that complaint so they may try to double harrass you under a different company name....

Well it seems to me that maybe whoever you filed your complaint should investigate a little further into the matter- OF COURSE BASSHOLES arent going to admit to comiting crimes...what company would? Not to mention all the other people who complain on them? I know they do it, you know they do, heck half the people on this site have been threatened with arrest or they have called and impersonated a federal agent. WHO did you file your complaint with? I want to file a complaint too and I have audio to back it up!

An "investigator" read you your rights over the phone? LMAO! I know you are concerned but that is one funny attempt on their part to intimidate you just like they did. Keep on filing your complaints. You are the one that is getting to them! That is the laugh of the day. You have the right to remain silent......
