After thinking about how insane the phone call I got from "investigator" Alex Divine reguarding US National Bank telling me I was going to be "processed" at 1:00 PM (I still here ) I actually laughed about it all day....US National bank DOES NOT want my money so what was the point of calling? To tell me that I was going to be arrested? LOL...OK- Yesterday I said I didnt think there was a point in filing complaints well, after sleeping on it I have decided to FIGHT BACK! The only thing I have to go on is the phone number the "investigator" gave me. I have no idea what company he was from.....1-877-403-0003....Also, when I got home Monday from work he had left a lovely message on my answering machine saying "this was he documented attempt" to contact me, you or your attorney need to call ASAP.......good day.....
I want to file a complaint and I will. Does anyone know by chance what company the number came from?
Thanks so much

Ha, I tried calling it and the voicemail answers that says "You have reached the comptroller division. State your name and numbers where you can be reached."
I left a message and said "This message is for Alex Divine, I heard I can call this number to get processed. Please come get me, you know who I am."
Sorry Tweety, can't find anything else. If you file your complaint, I'm sure the AG has ways of tracing an 877 number to its true owner.

Keep the message on your machine. That is proof that you will need.

Call them and tell them that you just want to pay it.......i am sure that once you do that, they will tell you how to pay which will reveal more imfo about the company.......just a thought.

The original poster did attempt to call, and was only able to reach a voice messaging system. You input is always welcome and appreciated, however please thoroughly read and understand posts before posting responses, especially if the reply could be inflammatory.

Are you referring to my post? I did thoroughly read and understand. She stated they called her and told her all of this nonsense, but she did not know the name of the company, she only had a phone number. Now, when someone attempted to call, they got a generic message. But, if she tells this devine guy that she would like to pay, he most likely will give some sort of wiring imfo, or other imfo that would include the company name. So...please follow your own advice.

Telling someone you want to pay a debt you know nothing about can be dangerous. At a minimum it invites more calls. At its worst, it may revive an expired statute of limitations.
I think it would be easier to call the number and ask for more information. If legal, record the call. If they refuse certain info, it may be a violation of the fdcpa and/or state law.
Good luck.

Also, TexasLawyer, wouldn't she have the right to ask for the debt to be validated in writing? Just a thought. It's never a good idea to just pay something, especially if you aren't sure that you owe it or not.

well....i do not post often on here. with that said, there was np hostility. i am sorry if caps is interpreted as hostility. why would i be hostile when trying to give advice. the point of the advice was to help her get more info on the company. she does not have to follow thru with paying. this will be my last post, if you guys do not see the point in the words and not what case the letters are in, i will no longer waste my time. later.

kscornell, you are correct. Requesting validation is always recommended. By law the CA is supposed to send what amounts to validation within 5 days of the first phone contact. If not, you can always request it.

Alex is with CNA (Christian Nicholas Assoc) 877-403-0003 in Jacksonville, FL 904-997-0526. I received the same call you did about being arrested etc.. I am working on getting an address. I think that they are a division of Bass and Associates. Search for this on the forum. Lots of info same tactics. Hope this helps.
