Got another call from these rude people today! I even told him in a very firm voice, "you do NOT have to be so rude with me!!" Anyway, how can i have an ER visit that i saw ONE doctor, was an ear infection, no blood work, no x-rays, nothing else but yet have 2 different collection agencies collecting on this debt with 2 different amounts owed?!?!?! Would the hospital still have the information on this amount owed if it's from 2004? If it's legit i DO want to pay it but some how i have a gut feeling about these people! (and it's not a good one)
Thanks in advance for any information.
And i did already send out a letter of validation last time they called me a week or so ago! Also asked them to NOT call me which they did.

Because when you go the hospital you get numerous bills- A hospital bill for the area they let you stay in, a doctors bill for the ER dr who treated you and possibly a lab bill for the lab work, a speci_alist bill for any radiology reports or anything like that....

When you have already mentioned the CA to cease and desist all phone calls, they are legally not allowed to call further until they have validated the debt in writing. Check the laws of your state on recording the phone calls. Note down the dates and time of the call and the person on the line. This could be strong evidence in case you want to file a case against them.

Leah is right in that you can count on 2 bills at a minimum, the ER/hospital bill and the doctor's bill.
That said, the CA's are still required to follow the law.

Ok, so i've been thinking about this ALL day now! And the more i kept thinking about it the guy i spoke to, "the supervisor", told me this was a bill from Gulf Coast Emergency Room dated the exact same date as i was seen at a local hospital named "Doctor's Hospital". So i thought maybe they had changed their name but yet on the bill that i believe is legit it's listed as Doctor's Hospital. Just now i called the hospital itself and asked them if they had changed their name or if any bill would be under a Gulf Coast Emergency. The lady told me NO!!! they are still Doctor's and bill NO one under that and she also has never even heard of this hospital! SIGHS! What a major confusion! Now what do i do? How do I find out who this Gulf Coast is and even MORE importantly how do i get this OFF my credit report! BTW... it's only for $240 and they are willing to settle for 120 but it's NOT legit!
Confused again!
Thanks for any help you guys can give me on how to deal with this. I do have a very good friend who is an attorney but i hate asking for favors!

Just wanted to update this... took all of your advice and sent Boyajian a DV and cease letter... haven't heard back from them! Does this mean it's over OR are they gonna pop up again some day?
