There are definitely debt collectors on here posing as honest debtors. Its sad that these scum bags would result to this type of childish activity. If it wasn't for Hess Kennedy and Mr. Campos, I would still be in serious debt. Because of them, I have had settlement offers from all my creditors and they have sued 2 of those creditors on behalf already.

Cajunbulldog,
You tell them. I'm sick of coming in here and seeing the mess Hess has done. I'm out of my money and I'll never see it again. I'm so stupid for doing business with this place. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM HESS KENNEDY AND ANY OTHER PEOPLE THAT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM. THEY ARE CROOKS AND WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY!!!!

First let me start by saying that saying someone is a scammer because you don't fully understand what you have signed is not very wise. All companies have clients that are not satisfied. Please remember that both companies, because they are 2 separate companies that are working together, are reffered business. Have you ever stopped to think that maybe it is te referral agents who are misinforming??? Also, it didn't take you one or two months to get into debt, it certainly isn't going to take you one or two months to get out of debt. Please remember that there is a difference between debt settlement and debt consolidation. Hess Kennedy is a debt settlement company. What that means is that your debts are not getting paid monthly, your money is being saved in a trust fund to accumulate enough funds to settle it out in a lump sum. If you owe $25,000 and are only paying 200 monthly, it is going to take some time to accumulate a lump sum. If you had a bad experience, maybe it is because you were told that they could take on a debt that they couldn't. Again that would be your referral agent, not Hess Kennedy or Campos Chartered....
Jeff Campos and Laura Hess are not trying to divert attention from anything. They are both attorneys who are in the same business working together. Have you never heard of that????? Now if either of them also does private practice work, does that give you the right to say that they are decietful too????

I am a client of Hess Kennedy and they refuse any lead that is referred from this site. I told them that there are posts here and i was concerned about my escrow account. I was told that the escrow account is managed by a third party trustee and is bonded and insured. They told me that this site referred people to CCCOA and then to Hess Kennedy.

Cajun,

Have Lou Lou give you his information and power of attorney to contact hess kennedy via email.

Post all the email in this forum to see if he is lying or not?

If this forum is really helpful Cajun, have everyone who claims they were scammed give ou their info and permission to contact hess kennedy for them so a third party neutral person can report back. That would be honest.

I am not cancelling with them. It has been over 10 months and they settled my MBNA for .30 and an account that "LUVN FUNDING" purchased and tried to collect on.

Most of these recent post are obviously from employees of firm. I know of a few clients that were given refunds due to lack of services performed on their contract.I am here voluntary and if someone was willing to let me be a third party,I feel it would be ugly for Hess. You are correct that they are a law firm who has only one attorney licensed in the Florida bar. If anyone would like me to be the third party, bring it on.I will make room in my active investigations for it.

Sub: About To Sign With Campos

Hey!

(I'm sorry that I know nothing about this board, so if I'm intruding, I apologize in advance.)

At any rate, My GF is about to sign up with "Campos Chartered Law Firm" to help her settle her debt. Admittedly she doesn't owe all THAT much to people (less than 10 grand), but having one smaller, manageable monthly payment to shut the creditors up for a few years if far beyond needed.

Thus far, the person she's been talking with has been rather helpful. I got on the phone with the person once to ask a couple "loaded" questions since I hadn't understood how it's possible to pay off debt(s) for less than what you owe. After it was explained to me it made sense.

Now I read here (after doing some Google-ing about these people) that they are a spin-off/cover up for a couple known scammers? Am I reading these messages right? Also a few folks here on this very page that are saying they are having a good experience with them. My GF heard about these these people from a co-worker of her's that is having good things to say about them as well.

So, now I'm a bit confused on what to do. She's looking to me for the final nod and whether she should sign with Campos or not.

I was about to h=give her the nod until finding this page.

I do understand that anything on the Internet should be taken with a few grains of salt (I've been using the "Internet" since before 80% of the people on this planet knew such a thing was even possible, much less that it even existed... ).

Any way, any insight would be nice.

Thanks!

M.

All I can say is Check out the company with the better business bureau,Florida bar association since it is a lawfirm,& the Florida attorney general offices. That should give you an idea if they are who you wish to do business with.

Well I'm glad you smell fish cause your breath is getting bad in here. I did e-mail them, I talked with Debbie and Adam and they said they would take care of it. Well hello, NOTHING!!! Now I'm getting the run around and they say I owe them. What for? They have sent out letters and done nothing else. I'm so sick of people in here pointing the finger at the ones who are victims. I'm not paying a bill to them for $5,000 and nothing being done. This is more debt for me and I can't handle this. Do you think I'm stupid? Well, I'm not. I'm so sick of this place and all the stupid things they do to innocent people. I'll never give this com. and good name and I hope they go under. It won't be long and they will you sit back and smell the fish fry baby!!!
