you know I am reading this and you claim to be a debt collector. I know two things for sure if you try and collect debts the way you talk to people on here you will get sued. 2 debt collectors have the worst credit in the industry, I believe the the guest who uses the name blah blah blah is a self loather who knows they are a credit criminal so they take the time to leave messages attacking other people because they are a dirt bag. one guest left messages about the compos chartered law wich I belive was the discussion and I believe a hess kennedy employee told him his information was usless, well what information do you have cajunbulldog none you just want to belittle people is this web site to share information or attack each other? I was reading the internet about programs I wont use hess kennedy because I have heard enough bad about them so thanks john I appreciate what you shared atleast someone was on here to post there experiences not internet fight

allen I am a moderator on this board and my ave. Fico is 780. I am here as an advocate to assist people and try to protect them from bad companies. My comments and public records to back them up are in this topic as well as most of the other Hess topics. One of our members had a very bad experience with them and I did a huge amount of research for her and in the end she got out of the program with a refund.

I am glad you have a great fico score Its nice to see that not everyone hits hard times. Here this guy is trying to share his experience about a company and you call him a slug and tell him his experience is nonsense. what kind of advocate is that? What advice would you give to arti would you send him to Hess Kennedy? Arti I have read a lot and have came to realize that doing anything with hess kennedy is like putting a match to your money. one a consumer credit counseling is far better than a debt settlement many lenders view settlement as a charge off. you wont be able to finance anything while you are in ccc but in the end it will be much better as the accounts will read pays as agrees i don't know what company to go with but there is no option as far as what plan of action to take the payments are higher however in the long run you will save money

How to get proper debt management help!
I am an advisor and I am here to not promote programs but to truly help those that are in need of help! I will tell you how credit counseling works from inside out and how debt settlement works inside out. I will not tell you which company is the right company but I do encourage you to just use common sense! How I will show you! And yes I do work at a company that assist clients in the decision making on whether what is the best options available to help you get out of debt.
If you are getting high interest 16%+ and you are just simply can only afford minimum! Than seeking help from a certified credit counselor is not a bad idea. MSN Money and myfico.com even encourages it if you want to improve credit score. Credit Counseling programs are designed to help you lower your interests rates and your creditors has already set the guidelines on how much they are willing to reduce down. I more than recommend that program more than anything based on the fact that I have seen multiple clients actually get their rates reduced and monthly payments reduced. In life money is being made whether it is non-profit or not. Non-profit means tax exempt! If a company has well over 50-100 employees, who will pay for their salaries? who will pay to keep the lease of the building going? the parking bills? electric bills? server bills? and the list goes on... My point, stop worrying on how much the monthly maintenance cost is like the saying goes"You get what you pay for" but look at the benefit of doing it! Weigh out the odds, would you rather pay 15k in interest for 15yrs before you can get rid of the debt or pay 3k-4k of maintainance cost to cover 4-5yrs being in the program. My point is, it is worth the investment if you are in that situation I mentioned. Everyone wants the job done right so pay the dues for it! If you were cheap at first you wouldn't continue charging them 22% interest credit cards so why be cheap now atleast the company will get you out of it so they deserve to make a fairshare! Credit is important in life so do not ruin it! Educate yourself on how to spend than you wouldn't have to depend on anyone to get you out of that mess! There is company that do get the job done right just be smart about it on selecting that right company it's real simple and guess what a blog will not help but confuse you more! |

Now for debt negotiation Programs: Only get yourself involved in this program if: 1. You are way behind I mean 3-4months behind and accounts are getting turned over to collections. 2. Accounts are already charged-off and in collections. 3. There is no way to get accounts re-age through credit counseling programs.(If you miss 2-3months being in Credit Counseling can help re-age your account back so that way you won't have your accounts charged-off) 4. You can not afford the minimum anymore period. example: salary=$2000net household expenses=$1800 creditcards bills=$500, you are definitely upside down. 5.Do not want to file Bankruptcy.
BOTTOM LINE: IF YOU DO NOT PAY YOUR CREDITORS THAN YOU PUT YOURSELF AT GREAT RISK REGARDLESS IF YOU HIRE A LAWFIRM TO SETTLE FOR YOU. Why hire a lawfirm than? Because a lawfirm will help manage your finances and get you to actually put some money aside so that way when it is ready to settle they can actually have that lump sum amount to negotiate for you! If you were a well discplined individuals than you wouldn't be in this mess to begin with so do not say "I can just do that on my own" cause you can't that is fact!!! Another benefit, having a lawfirm backing can minimize the collection calls and harrassment and what the lawfirm does and go against violators and try to catch them break your rights and attack the company! Bill collectors are always breaking the law and you know why? Because they are bunch of low-life trying to threaten those that do not have money and treats them horribly just so that way they can earn their stupid little commission and brag about it! That is how the lawfirm always gets a good settlement cause once your account gets handed over to a third party collection agency, it is now in the hands of bunch nobody trying to put fear in people over the phone and they get caught by these lawfirms for breaking the FDCA regulations! Catch my drift. It's always better to pay on time and not get yourself in this mess but when it comes to push and shove and you do not have a choice hiring a lawfirm to work on a settlement can actually help you more than not do anything at all. People complain about these lawfirms because they are not working at a fast pace that the client wants. Bottom line its real simple: BE PATIENCE.. TRY TO PAY AS MUCH AS YOU CAN IN THE LAWFIRMS TRUST SO THEY CAN START ON A SETTLEMENT FOR YOU AND U WILL GET LESS HEADACHES. DO THIS PROGRAM ONLY IF YOU ARE IN THAT SITUATION. so John Harris you did not meet those criterias and you gotten mislead and I am sorry to hear that. |

bever jo: Please keep in mind that when you are deciding to do a settlement program, the only thing you can be sure to do is follow the guidelines of the law firms that is handling your account. Remember that collection calls will continue no matter if cease communication forms are sent off, reason being is that bill collectors do not care if they violate your rights, their main tactics is to bug you and bug you until you talk to them and work out a settlement. The Law Firm working your settlements can only negotiate once you built enough funds in the escrow account for them to even start offering a settlement to you creditors. So you only have 3 options at this point, cancel out and do it on your own, just be patience and let the law firm do their jobs or file for BK and let the judge resolve it for you!
