Befor calling it a scam lets just research and make sure the companies are not linked together, there are serveral companies out there they may have simialar names or address, wouldnt want to ruin their reputation by labeling them as scams.
It is nice to see everyone in the forum is keeping an eye out for misguided information. Possibly a solution is to ask other debt consolidation services about their competitors.
If you are unsure about this company then you should do your own research on them if you've done research and didnt like what you saw then go to a company you feel comfortable with

While some situations are clearly a scam, some are quick to claim scam, whether it's from an unknowledgeable perspective or just to create chaos.
What is it with people that just like to stir the pot anyway?
By signing up for counseling session, your provided details (Name, Email ID and Phone No.) will be forwarded to the company advertising on the DebtCC. However, you have no obligation to use their services.
Some creditors and collection agencies refuse to lower the pay off amount, interest rate, and fees owed by the consumer.
Creditors/collection agencies can make collection calls and file lawsuits against the consumers represented by the debt relief companies.
Debt relief services may have a negative impact on the consumer's creditworthiness and his overall debt amount may increase due to the accumulation of extra fees.
The amount which the consumer saves with the use of debt relief services can be regarded as taxable income.
