I have not been on in awhile and need help with something-I live in NJ. I signed up with Oak View Law Group(OVLG) for some of my PDLs and had received a letter from ACA Recovery(for PayCheck Today) giving me 30 days to respond to a debt they state I owe for $805.00. I got a loan for $300 and paid back $975.00 and then got another loan for $500 and paid back $150.00.
I have had communication (calls from Norman Kalinas office maybe 3 or 4 times before the 30 days was up asking me how I was going to pay this off) and was advised by OVLG not to respond(I had letter ready to ask for DV) OVLG stated they would send. They never did. Now we are going on almost 60 days since that letter was sent. Can they sue me even though I live in a state where it is somewhat illegal? I am not with OVLG anymore as I stopped all services with them. I just now have to battle these one by one on my own as nothing was done on 6 PDLs including this one. The only other PDL company I hear from is PaydayLoanyes. Now I am probably going to hear from the other 4(Magnum Cash Advance, Impact Cash, VC Funding and Platinum B Services). Can anyone suggest what I should do. I would appreciate it. Thanks

Can't really help you with the PDL issue except to say that you would be much better off to take a paper route or get a second job.
Those PDL are death by inches
