Internet's first get-out-of-debt community - 122,000 members

I have accumulated around 7,000 UK pounds in debt whilst living here for the past 3 years, and am wondering if this situation can follow and haunt me once I move back to Canada in a few months? Anyone know?

I too have a similar problem.Have a UK credit card debt of approx £10,000.Left the county almost 4 years ago and now have become Australian citizen.The debt is from a uk credit card company.Will they chase me for the outstanding money or will they write it off as bad debt.They are now telling me that the matter is going to collection agency.Anyone know how I stand on this ?. Have been trying to make payments over past 4 years but now struggling and they won't accept the minimum that I say ,I can afford.

You are looking for answers in the wrong place. Your question should be posted to an Australian or UK credit board. Same with the OP....he should be asking a canadian forum.
