My fax machine in my office just had an automated message from afni Debt Collection agency? has anyone heard of them. It left a number 877-497-9050. I called and asked why they were leaving these messages and the guy stated he was sorry and it was probably a mistake. I said what kind of debts do they buy or represent and he went to say pay.. and said phone companies mostly.
Well if he said it was a mistake then it likely was. If they call again write the time and & and send off a C&D letter to their company if they aren't looking for you.
afni collections does a lot of collecting for old verizon accounts. They are known for trying to collect expired debts and fdcpa violations. This is not my forum but would someone delete Mr Sicko above me!

This number is a recording that is automated and it says in an ackward computer voice the name so badly pronounced I wonder if there is any legal reason to listen to the recording! None the less just don;t take the call.
I hope this was helpful
called claiming to be "afni" requesting to call 888-639-8032 for prompt removal and if I am person they are looking to call 877-497-9050. Claim they are seeking to collect a debt.
I am not calling this trash, don't owe any money and reporting them.
