Has anyone heard of Central National Fidelity, POB 49, Daytona Beach, Florida 32115? They claim to be a collection agency that has acquired an old paydayloan default debt. It's been more than 30 days since they contacted me, can I still send them a VOD?
I'm not even sure that the paydayloan company was licensed in Florida (where I reside) or that I actually owe anything with all the rollovers and finance charges that I paid to the paydayloan. Its Best Cash advance out of utah; anyone know whether they can lend to florida residents or even if this collection agency is entitled to collect this debt?

Was their communication verbal or written? If it has been pst 30 days since you have received written notice, you can still DV but collection efforts do not have to cease.

I would not send these crooks one red cent! They find debts people owe on public record and pretend to be collecting on behalf of the owed party. If you pay them, you will never see your money again and the real debt will remain unpaid!! How do I know? Because I filed bankruptcy 8 months ago and they billed me for a debt that was included and cleared in bankruptcy! By law, the owed party is not allowed to turn a debt over to a collection company much less contact the owing party for collection!! It is a Federal offense to harass or attempt collection of anyone involved in bankruptcy! These people are a fraud!!
