I put $9000 down on my Yukon 16 months ago. Due to unforseen circumstances I started running a month behind. They started calling me 10+ times a day, even started calling family & friends. I called them on Fiday to make a payment & the phone would just ring. Called at least a dozen times over the weekend Still no one answered. Monday I finally get someone & he told me they won't accept 1 payment they also wanted May's which just became due 5 days ago. I told him I could only make 1 as I am unemployed. He didn't care. So I asked for his supervisor & he wouldn't put anyone else on the phone. He said he will call me Tuesday after 11 to give me more time to get funds. WELL.....woke up Tuesday & My car was GONE ...I couldn't believe it. My husband needs this car to get to work....I called Chase & they won't let me have the car back even if I gave them to 2 payments because I am unemployed & it's my loan....i don't know what to do? I contacted a lawyer & I can get them for harrassment, but max awarded is $1000. doesn't eem worth it. I did also file a complaint with The Office of the Comptroller who overeas banks & well....I haven't heard anything from them. i can't believe after reading so many complaints against Chase that they are allowed to practice this. I am so upset right now

Anyone have any suggestions..or am I SOL?

Unfortunately I have heard this story too many times regarding them! My heart goes out to you! I have no idea how any company can be so heartless in this economy! As far as the harassment it varies from state to state as Chase is the original creditor! In Florida where I live it is 1000.00 per violation

Were you answering the phone or just screening the calls? It will be difficult to get them on harassment if you were avoiding them.
