I was wondering if anyone knew anything about civil judgements. I had a friend that has his own business doing home improvements. Basically he just does jobs here and there. It really wouldn't be considered a business. Anyway, he was sued by a customer and they happened to win a judgement against him for $1,000. He doesn't have the money to pay all at once. What happens from here? He doesn't own anything and has no bank account.

Well I would suggest that he pay what he can when he can until it's resolved.

There is a whole range of post-judgment remedies too numerous to list here. The best bet for this small amount is to pay it off, borrow the money to pay it off, or make a payment plan.
