This is a response from Geneva Roth in regards to a lady named Shane calling my supervisor at his home. This email was sent to the AG's office from the Director of Operations of Geneva Roth following up on a complaint I filed on them.

Steelers1 AKA Amy, you are kidding yourself. It sounds to me like she is trying to resovle the matter but in fact you must be following the herd when you read that. Slander and libelous behavior should not be tolerated on this site. If you go to any other debt oriented site there are major guidelines and restrictions on postings. I would watch your back or you will be risking some serious penalties.

Guest, I also do not see anything slander-ous. Maybe you should refrain from the libel yourself. Or are you one of the collectors that call and threaten to arrest people? And you don't like people that protect their rights.

I have yet to see a post form one member who advocates taking out a loan and trying to get out of paying it back, which would basically constitute stealing. But in mine, as so many cases here, we have already paid back the money we borrowed sometimes 2, 3,4, or 5 times over, well beyond the legal allowable abount. The lender is not taking any loss by my account being marked paid in full. He has already made his profit many times over. Nobody is trying to avoid responsibility, simply trying to avoid being ripped off further by illegal and unscrupulous lenders.

I have to agree. We are all here to help each other and no one is trying to get out of their responsibilites. I used to think I needed to pay every CA that contacted me even if they had made more than enough money which they had many times over. Now I am learning that CA's don't play fair and are not the most ethical organizations around. So I am just making myself smarter and leveling the playing field. I'm not trying to skip out on my debts.. just fight smartly. I think everyone here is doing just that. Protecting ourselves.
