|
|
One of my credit card accounts was recently turned over to an attorney for collections. The balance is $4776. I received a letter dated 5/22/08 requesting payment of this debt. Should you send a validation letter even if you know the debt is yours?
Should I try contacting them to settle or definitely send the validation letter?
Thanks,
Kim

And always keep in contact with the attorney through the mail to let them know you are sincere in paying off this debt that way you can be in a better position to negotiate.

If it's your debt, try and work out something rather than ignoring it. But yes send the Debt Validation letter.
