Can a hospital send a detailed medical bill with procedures medication dosages etc to a lawyer to use to collect for the treatment? The hospital sent this to the lawyer who then sent to me the parent of a non minor child 20 years old. It was from a stay in a mental ward. When I questioned the insurance about there payment to the hospital they would not release anything to me with out my child consent how can the hospital send this info out to a lawyer who then sends to me when the insurance company can't help me with out permission. My child is mad I now know all that went on. Help does my child have any rights?

It’s a very complicated situation. You may consult with an experienced attorney in this regard. Let’s see what the other forum experts say.
