All,

I just got a call from CACH LLC, they stated that I owed bank of America for 18K, I told the Rep that I needed to see my debt in writing, after pause for a second, he told me that his boss wanted to talk to me. Again, I demanded the DV for review then I'll response to it in according with the law governed. Then the boss told me she will fax the notice to me in 30 minutes, thus far more than 2 hrs, I have not seen any fax coming. Please advise what i need to do next?

You need to send them a debt validation letter, not ask for it over the phone.

and send it by certified mail, return receipt requested. Dont just send it through the regular mail--you want to be able ot prove that they received it.

I also think you should pay the extra money to make sure someone there HAS to sign....many collection agencies turn down simple certified letters because they CAN!!!! pay the extra money to get someone with a NAME to sign for receipt....don't expect them to do the right thing EVER!!!!!although I am not an officer..refer to the highest person in authority when dealing with them please!

p.s once I sent a certified attempt to a collection agency on an item regarding identity fraud..after their first contact ...I sent them a regular certified letter to request validation..they turned the letter down and it never got delivered..I got it back almost a month later with undeliverable being the excuse..then....spent about $20.00 to insure someone at same address....would sign for receipt and post office assured me name of individual who accepted or refused letter would be listed..THIS one got delivered..my advice is DON'T send anything cheapest way certified....it will not be accepted by ruthless collection agencies...if dealing with original creditor tho...this will work!
