Received a letter from Encore (CA for GEMB) which stated they would "obtain verification of the debt or obtain a copy of a judgement..." Judgement? This sounds like court action.
Since I can't pay this anyway, how do I respond?

They are just saying they will obtain proof of the debt! It is a blanket statement!
