I had a voice mail left on my phone to call them they have a docket number to file in my state and call there lawyer Mark E Lewis???800 notes say there a scam and they are low lifes ect.....The only thing they can be calling for is a old debt from Check-n-go my wife had.I live in state of South Carolina and this debt is 4 years old.We have not goten any letter in the mail stating how much the debt is for ect.....BUT I do have one question is ok to record these guys on the phone in my state???

You can record any phone call with them as long as you tell the person you are recording the phone call. The second you realize they have called simply state that you are recording the call to preserve your rights and leave it at that. Many scam companies will immediately hang up the phone when presented with that.

If you're in South Carolina, you can record collection calls without telling the caller anything. Try recording the call, then offering to play it back for them. That oughtta get their attention.

As for them having a "docket number to file"... The docket is the list kept by the court, containing all the case that have been filed. There is no "docket number" unless and until a case has been filed with the court. These illegal collectors are blowin' smoke up your ass. It probably tickles, but that's about all.
