OK, I know I may make people mad by positing this, but again...to be fair...I have a payment plan with FMS out of Tulsa, OK (they are with LVNV--shudder)...I deposited a check to cover my monthly payment, but there was an ACH hold on it and FMS's payment was returned. I just called them and they were very helpful. I explained what happened and they allowed me to wire the payment to them along with a $5 fee and keep the original payment arrangement.
I was nervous about it, but am very happy they were understanding.

I wasn't aware of FSM being with LVNV. You are very luck- LVNV loves to break all sorts of regulations, I know, I have been dealing with them for over a year and a half. I have dealt with a dozen of their companies, including Weltman, Weinberg,and Reis. Just be carefull giving them access to your account, and keep your eyes open!..

Congrats on speaking with one of the few that I would consider professional.They were owed money,you were treated cordially,and they got their money. I won't bash anyone for posting an obviously true story about a collection agency. I have been saying for a long time if collector's knew how to do their job properly,there would be no reason for us to have a internet forum discussing them.
