Court orders are not required only in case of student loans. For defaults on credit card debts, the CA must file papers in the court and summons should be served to you in hand. You need to file complaints with your state attorney general about this company because they have illegal garnished on your wages. Inform your payroll and don't let them do a debit again.

Do you already have a judgement against you?

If so, you could file a complaint, but if there is no proof of an arrangment, I wouldn't expect your complaint to result in much.

Did you answer the presumed summons? If not, I think it is possible the attorney has obtained a default judgement against you. I'd check with the courthouse...maybe even obtain copies of all the documents in your case.
