i have recently been getting letters n calls from gerald e moore about a capital one credit ac that i defaulted back in 2009.my balance is 1200.after ignoring their letters for a while one day someone just showed up at my doorstep and handed me a pile of papers that stated i was gonna be taken to court,i panicked n called them and the lady i spoke to miss mills talkd me into a 6 month payment plan of 194.00.i gave them my ac info(stupid of me)that was last month,bt until now,nothng has bn taken from the ac,n i have not received any written letter of our agreement.they keep saying they r sending it but havent,its bn two months,what should i do.am thinking of calling the bank and freezing their payment..please help am soo new to creditors:(

DId you answer the summons? Have you checked the online court dockets for your court date??? Have you called Moore's office back??
Sure you can stop the payment but expect to have a judgment rendered against you.

when the papres were delivered to my house all i did was call moore immediately and that is when i discussed the payment options. i have called miss mills two more times asking why there is delayed payment coz i just wanted to settle the debt but all i get is she is not sure and until now i do not have any written agreement from them though she says they sent it.i did not have a court date yet and aftr i contacted them they said thay are waiting to stop the case from going to court since i made arrangements...this is soo stressful i do not know what to do

i just searched it and found my case. the case was dated for june 25th,but i was searved the papers in begining of july,so they were already late,have not heard of anyone and anytime i contact gerald e moore they say they stopped it,i might just have to go to the court myself.is that wise?
