I am not mad about it, I just wanted to let you all know that the heat is turned up on all CA's because less people have anything at all to pay this time of year. I know you all are here to rag on most of the agencies that call you, but if it makes the community feel better, business is horrible this month. I hope i made some peoples day!

Would that make end of Feb/begin of March the best time, because that's about the avg time for people to receive any tax refund from the IRS?

About 2 months ago, a collector who will not accect payments or validate, already asked me about my income tax! I said"what refund, we pay THEM"!!..Karen

YES. According to the stats. This is the worst time and tax season is when everything picks up. Usually around the middle of Jan. You would be surprised at how many people rush taxes to pay bills.

You bet tax time is great for the collectors. Thats when they violate more laws and intimidate people. Although with the help of this site, people have become wiser and they are making these agencies validate the debt before they pay them a dime.

My tax refund is always taken each year to pay the county and city taxes for my house. Sorry CA you have to go to the back of the line again

Most people just want to spend at this time of the year. They keep their card rolling by paying the minimum without worrying to pay it back. So, not only collectors have hard time in their collections, but creditors also don't see their way of getting the money back. Even worse, they offer new credit to people. So, they don't worry about their business because they will be able to recover the loss later when they will make people pay their debts.

I have had a very good month. Collections is all about liquidation and negotiation. Fortunatly I don't work off charge off and I understand it is much much harder to collect on.

Being debt free is the best Christmas gift I can think of that has a monetary value.

Merry xmas fraudsters!!!! I hope you go into drug withdrawls this season - seeing how apparently they hire ex convicts as collectors from a recent closed foum labeled sex, drugs and whatever the title was....

I feel sorry for your kids having parents like that.... dirty criminals

Come tax time the collectors don't have to violate many laws b/c people already have the intentions of paying off their debt when they recieve their taxes. So as soon as someone calls for money, they'll be more than willing to pay it b/c they have the money.
