Absolutely, if a CA calls and starts off with the high pressure and threats of arrest and embarrassment at work, you should be very weary of giving them a dime. If they flat out refuse to validate the debt, in writing, then you should not give them a dime. If they promise you a PIF letter or DV letter only after you make a payment, you MOST DEFINITELY SHOULD NOT give them a dime; you will never see these letters and you will be out your money.
Any reputable CA should have no problems with providing written verification of a debt or working out some sort of reasonable payment arrangement with you. They always demand the entire payment up front; however, don't seem to realize if you had the entire amount to pay, the two of you wouldn't be having the conversation in the first place.
Now would you?
The address is correct, you just forgot their suite number. It is, Suite #14.
I got the same "sputtering" response too, when I called them confronting them with the fact they are Il-Legal Mediation Mal-Practice with a shiny new wrapper. Just be sure to file complaints with your state's Attorney General's office, the Florida Attorney General's Office, and the Federal Trade Commission.
Filing complaint with these agencies is very important!
Coming on here and posting about your horrible experience with this company, along with reading other's posts about the illegal shenanigans might make you feel better; however, nothing is going to get done about these bozos until enough complaints get filed and someone takes notice.
I've done all the hell-raising I can with the Florida AG's office and Secretary of State about this company, so I've hit a wall. It's up to you guys to file those complaints!!!
So much for "weeding out" the bad employees, huh?
