Just FYI they have a new add out

Employer: H&P Capital Inc
Position: Collector (Baymeadows Area)
Job category: Customer Service
Description: H&P Capital Inc. is a local privately owned company. We are growing and steadily expanding our operations. One major reason for our success is that we specialize in one form of debt collection: Delinquent Payday Loans. Over the 10 years that our relationships have been established with our customers, we have become the highest performing agency for each of them. This allows us to attract primary and first placement files from 95% of our client base.

With this stability, our agents are among the best paid in Jacksonville. We have developed a straight commission pay structure that allows our collectors to make as much money as they want to earn. Your individual drive and determination dictates your pay, and you don’t have to contend with achieving a budget that can change at any given time. We of course have goals that we expect our collectors to meet, but you know exactly how much money you are going to make in each of your paychecks. We also have additional SPIF incentives that are offered to our collectors as a thank you for all of their hard work. We pay the best and expect the best from our collectors. We want to retain the best collectors in Jacksonville, too. Our employee benefits include: group health, dental, and life insurance; a company-matched IRA; and paid vacation.

We utilize state of the art collections software, a predictive dialer system, and state of the art computers and servers. This allows us to have the stability you, as a collector, will require from the company you work for. Our collections software allows you to have full view of all payments that you have collected and the fees that you earn from each respective payment. Nothing is hidden from you. What is all of this going to mean for you as a collector? You will have full control over what you do and the money you make. To aid you in achieving the goals that you set for yourself, we have a partnership system in place that allows you to take your breaks and lunches and know that your calls are going to be covered. There’s no risk in losing the call that could be the only one from that debtor.

Our hours of operations are currently 8am to 8pm with individual collectors putting in 8 hours per day; the hours are subject to change based upon our business needs. Collections experience is preferred but not required. Latitude software experience is also a plus, but not required. You must also be flexible with your work hours. The latest you will work currently is 8pm.

START NOW CALL MR. ROUGAS AT 904-672-1023 EXT 234 TO SCHEDULE YOUR INTERVIEW OR CLICK ON "APPLY WITH POSTED RESUME" OR "APPLY VIA EMAIL" BUTTON BELOW.

The cases I found against them were on Justia.com.
Mercer vs H&P Capital, case 3:2009cv00111; Hyde vs H&P Capital, case 3:2009cv00413; Stewart vs H&P Capital, case1:2009cv00190, etc.
Searched sunbiz.org, found document # P08000093357

Google Gary Henrion. He runs multiple businesses out of that address (or did). Probably racks up lawsuits, gets shut down, changes business names and starts all over. This guy (or all of them) should be in jail.

I received a call from these people today threatening me with filling a motion with the court to have me arrested and I had until 5pm today to pay this debt. Well the debt was paid off back in November and December 2008, they in turn told me this was another payday loan for the same company. I did not take out a second loan and they are claiming all kind of crap and if I did not call them by 1 they would file with the court, I called them and he told me since I was trying he would give me until 5 to contact them. I called at 5:30 and thought what the heck is going on when I talked to this woman she told me to call back in 15 mintues well needless to say I started googleing and found this information. I have contacted an attorney and will see him on Saturday. I am in shock at what I am reading about this place. I closed my bank account due to fregulant activity and told Webpay day that in November they took my bank information and took the money out in installments of the original amount. So, why are these people claiming I have to pay $860.00 for a 300.00 loan to a company I do not know and if Webpay day took the money you think they would have the account information and take the money anyway. So, I am very confused and upset about the harssament at work they are causing me. Thank you

They have just called me and made the same threats regarding the money that I owe them and that they would embrass me at work.

How do they get away with this.

Can we not get a lawyer to file action against them?

They emailed me a letter with a letterhead:

H & P Capital Inc.
1919-14 Blanding Blvd.
Jacksonville, FL 32210
Phone (866) 612-1284
Fax - (904) 672-1025

I got the email AFTER I came back from the post office (sent certified DV/C&D letters to both the Blanding address and the Pine Villa address). I sent one letter to 1919 Blanding Blvd., Suite 4, Jax. I hope it gets directed to them!

They keep calling me at work today, threatening (veiled of course) arrest. Rachael Anderson called me at 8:45am at work after trying my cell, was instantly surly and threatening. She said she would email me a letter verifying that they are in charge of collecting the PDL debt, and gave me contact info to phone her after receiving the email.

Then about 1/2 hour later an unannounced man asked for the owner or controller, and hung up as I tried to tell him that I am the controller.

The email came finally at 1:07pm, and Rachael Anderson called me at the office at 1:10pm, rudely asking why I did not call in arrangements to pay this debt today by 1:00pm. She then put me on hold, a grumpy man came on, I explained that I was on hold for Rachael Anderson, he then put me back on hold. I needed to hang up because the other business lines were ringing and I'm on the clock.

A few minutes after this, a man (who didn't announce himself again) said, "Ms. Moore?", I said yes and then he started asking why I'm refusing to acknowledge to Ms. Anderson that I owe this debt. I told him that I was not acknowledging anything until I have the time to research this, and I started reading off the FDCPA lingo that is written at the bottom of their emailed letter that states that I have 30 days to respond etc. I also told him, "by the way, I just got back from the post office because I mailed a DV/C&D letter to you guys." I then asked him if he was not allowing me my legal right through the FDCPA, then he asked if ("123 Blah Blah Street") was correct (my work address). I then tried to tell him that threatening arrest is against the FDCPA, but he hung up before I could get it out.

Complete BOTTOM FEEDERS! I wonder how many times I'll hear from them until they receive my certified DV/C&D letter, and if they are going to harrass my mother and sister (they were my two PDL references).

Great website!! Yes, I recieved a call from them and I have noticed a few people making comments about paying your bills. Which is understandable and I dont think that anyone is complaining about that at all. Things happen in this economy, however the law is the law. They are breaking it, I have a payday loan out and I reached out to my original debt person. They advised me that i can go to any of their payday locations to make a payment. Dont let these people scare you!! Please dont let these people scare you!!! Check the Fair Debt Collection Act Practices and go from there. Just because you owe a debt, doesnt make you a monster. Things happen. As far as calling your employer the FDCAP explains that violation in great detail also.

Bunch of 'Goodfellas' who intimidate with threats of 'coming to your home or work'..blah blah blah..thank you for all of the information on this scumbag company. I called them and let them know that they are violating the Fair Debtors Act, and that any further contact with me or my family will result in charges being brought against them with the Florida Atty. General and the Ohio Atty. General. Hopefully this will cool their jets.

do not trust anyone who says they are from h@p capital im out $740.00 becausei got scared they were going to arrest me at work. i have done lots of research, this so called company os bogus. There is a h@p capital, inc out of jacksonville florida. if this is so real then why didnt my money go to florida to pay off debt, i sent it to hpc in my local town and moneygram said it was deposited into hpc bank acct. i should of known it was not right when he said they were going to arrest me, but i was scared, this just happened 07/23/2009, so apparently they are still doing this . Another lady from my work said her husband got a call that he owed money and he better pay or else, then she got a check in the mail with a letter and he told her to deposit it and call him after the deposit, she did then he proceeded to tell her to send that money back to him a, but it would cost $150 to send it back , her bank had since then told her the check was fake. please everyone beware of h@p capital and dont send them anything . I wish i wouldnt have

I have had the same problem with this company. The called me this past Friday telling me I had a filing..yada yada yada. I called the number back, the extension they gave me didn't even work. They looke up my phone and addess and couldn't find crap on me. Then they wanted my social..I said NOPE!!!!!If they are collecting for an online payday loan company they are full of shit because I have never filed for one online. I had one two years ago that was paid in full with a legit company. And one thing, a payday loan requires a checking account, if you fail to pay they take it out of your account. So I'm not sure what they hell this company would collect on. Anyways, I have checked my credit and found nothing that has gone in to collection. I will also be investing in life lock.
