date of first delinquent payment was on 10-30-2005 charge-off and sold to collection agency on 2-10-06.

I live in California where i know that it is 4 years for writte statues of limitation.

My question is does the clock start ticking with first late payment or when it was charged off???

And if it is when first delinquent payment that would mean the SOL would be up at the end of this month..right??

Jefferson Capital is still trying to collect on this account on behalf of Midland.

You are correct about the delinquent date. Is Jefferson Capital offering you a credit card?

The SOL clock starts with the date of last payment. Federal reporting period begins with the Date of First Default (the date a payment was due and missed). Sounds like in your case, SOL expires this month.
