Can one collection agency sell a judgement to another one? I have been making payments on a judgement with one agency and then received a notice from a different one that they are trying to collect it. I am going to ask for validation, but is there anything else I should do?

Are you making payments, or getting money garnished from your checks?

I had been making payments but have missed a few. They have a judgement but they have never garnished my wages.

Request a validation from the new company. Find out how the true holder of the account is. You may also wish to find out from the original party you were paying if they sold the account, or if its just an inside collection company trying to get you caught up.

I am going to do the validation request but I am confused as to how they could have the account. Doesn't the judgement belong to the original creditor? That is the name on the judgement, they used Dominion Law and now I'm getting this stuff from Wolfoff & Abramson. I know I've read on here that they are not a very good ca.....anything else I should be concerned about?

I first recommend calling up the original creditor. Inquire about the new letter. Perhaps they are not aware, or maybe they really did sell the account. They should be able to let you know, and talking to them on the phone never hurts.
