well I know there are several people on this board who have dealt with these fraudulant scamming scum buckets, you know the ones who have thick indian accents and go by famous names, and threaten to put you in jail for serious criminal charges! well Iam wondering if anyone has found a solution to getting these people to stop calling and move on to someone else. I was thinking that I would just keep playing with them giving them a hard time but it has gotten old now and I just want them to stop calling! they call my family members and even a co-worker. they tell this co-worker that I put her as a responsible party for me and that she is now liable for all charges. this doesnt go over very well becouse we are not exactly friends! I guess they got her name when she answered the phone and they are using her to try to get to me. Ive made a report to the FBI and the other places that others have suggested reporting to and dont know what else to do. If anyone has had any luck PLEASE let me know!!

Contact John Stossel from 20/20, this would make a VERY interesting investigative report! I have written to "The Consumerist", I do hope they will pick up the story and investigate it.

you should have had co-workers and your boss tell these mopes that you quit.even messing with these jabronies only encourages them.there is still time to stop the calls.just have your co-workers and boss say you quit.then ignore the calls at home.these people are the lowest of the low.i wish i could say how i really feel, but TOS prohibits that.

My name is Laura Miller and for the past few months I have been harrassed by a group that claims they are legal sheriffs hired to collect a debt that I owe to the US National Bank. their phone number is 1-717-283-1916 and he states his name is Joseph Newman. They keep insisting that I pay them with a prepaid debit card, which I have never heard of. I usually pay legitamate companies through either Western Union or Money Gram. Can you help me to find out how this scammer got my name.

Yep, sounds like our friends from "Useless National Bank" are still at it!

Follow the link nascardevil has posted here. Ben from consumerist.com is doing an article on these jokers and could definitely use your story.

Well I went actually 2 weeks without hearing from these jerks! then out of the blue I got a call from my friend Andy Watson!! I said I was surprised to hear from them it had been a while and I figured you had given up! He then proceede to tell me the usual speel on how there was a case against me and I again told them I was aware they were fraud and I would not give them any money he got angry and said he would be downloading my file! we hung up he then called me again on my work number and when I asked what he wanted becouse i just talked to him 5 minutes ago he said he wanted to speak to my supervisor! I said this is a matter between me and him and there is now reason he should be speaking to my supervisor, he said it was becouse I didnt tkae care of the matter and he wanted my boss to know what kind of a person he had as an employee!! The conversation became elevated when I told him it was illegal totry to badmouth me to my employer (I dont know if it is) until he finally hung up on me.

I work for a Sheriff's Office and these scumbags hung up on me. After their bs attempt to get my information, they told me they were going to have me arrested by the Sheriff's Office. I stated I work here and they hung up. I filed a report with my agency. Three weeks later, they called back represented themselves as Officer David Walker. I knew immediately it was the same people. First they told me they were in Florida then it changed to LA. I obtained a phone number and told them to never call me again. One of our Deputies did a follow up report and called them. They were not forthcoming with any information to the Deputy. They stated they would have their Sheriff's Department in their state give the paper work to the "New York Sheriff's Office" at which time my Deputy stated they were quite ignorant since there were more than one sheriffs Office in NYS. When the deputy told him to never call me again but to fax the information, they hung up. I am now forwarding all my reports and all the calls (everything at my office is recorded) to LAPD, the FBI and FTC. Hopefully this will end.

Did you ever ask them to forward information, because I did and they keep saying that they are not able to forward me any documents until I pay the bill. I am a bit leary about this and I have recently experienced id theft.

I have over the past month been receiving threatning calls from 3 or 4 different guys saying they are calling from a company National Affadevit Processing Dept. After the first phone call I got suspecious because to be a legitimate company they were way off line. They were threatning me, saying they were going to turn this matter over to the FBI. I am upset. First of all if I had a company I would at least hire people that customers could understand. Second, I would keep the same case worker working with a client, not someone new everytime I talked to them. These people need to be put behind bars.

I just received a call this morning (on my job phone) from David Walker, Atty. saying that I owed a payday loan. I have gotten them before but NEVER not paid them back. I told them this was a mistake and asked them for copies of the contract (which they said would be supplied to my employer), but they said they did not have them available to send at this time. I asked them for a number and told them I would call after I got more information. After reading this thread, I am sure it is a fraud and will no longer answer the phone on these calls that show no number on the id at my desk. rla
