I received a voicemail last night, from a "Janie" at a "Reisen Law Firm" (not sure of spelling), asking me to call her back with a reference number she provided in the message, regarding a legal matter. I googled the phone number, nothing. I googled the area code, Warwick NY. I looked up law firms in Warwick, in the "R's", nothing. I looked up collection agencies in Warwick, only 1 hit, but with a different phone #.
Has ANYONE had any dealings with them? I called today, and got a generic voice message that didn't mention which the company I was calling. This sounds somewhat fishy to me!

It might be some crooked company that is doing the collection calls on you. If they have any of your past debt account, they must be able to validate in writing. Find out their address and send a DV letter through certified mail and return receipt requested. Monitor your latest credit report also to make sure that this company is not doing any unauthorized reporting.

I did a reverse number look up on whitepages.com, this is what came up...
(845) 678-1281

Teria, that's what I got too, when I did reverse lookup. I just find it very odd that absolutely nothing came up when googled!

gee, and the guy by the name of Mark Cooper called me and when I asked to speak to the attorney, he said he represented the attorney....and they wont give a mailing address either. I turned his name and number over to my attorney, as they continue to call my brothers phone.

I just got off the phone with the State of NY Bar Association...gee whiz...this guy is not even registered as an attorney ! They said either he is a new practicing attorney, OR, he is under investigation for bad practice situations.
