Hi, I am in Hawaii and recently an employee of mine received a garnishment from LVNV funding. She is from micronesia and doesn't understand the legal system. She went to court and just signed off on a debt and didn't know what she was doing until the garnishment papers came in the mail. She told me that she didn't make these charges and tried to talk to the attorney who handled the case for LVNV. The attorney said she shouldn't have signed and agreed to reduce her payment by 2/3rds. I think she may have been duped. How can I help her when a judgement has already been made?
