I received a voicemail from a woman who spoke so quickly, I'm not sure of her name. I think it is Donna Leonhardt or similar. She called from 913-322-3548, but said to call ASAP on urgent matter to 866-317-6024 x1045. She then called my sister's voicemail trying to reach me! Since I gave my sister's name & number as a reference when I got a ton of those damned online payday loans, it must be a collection agency for one of them. I Googled the toll-free number and found reference to Mid America Credit Bureau (MACB) with an address of 15501 W. 99th St.,
Lenexa, KS 66219. Should I mail them a certified letter requesting no telephone contact and a written statement of debt or something? I can't have them calling my sister! How embarassing!!!!!

Yes, send them a letter certified/return reciept saying to cease and desist contact. If they dont stop contacting your sister file complaints against the company. Ask them to send validation of the debt too....

i am looking over my records for debt cleared/paid. in 2006 i recieved many calls from the MACB and they called my parents as well. my mother paid a debt of $729. to clear the account they were collecting on.. I have the account file number yet i do not have the number of the credit card account it was actually paid off. i have a copy of the check and the letter my mother wrote with the check. it was sent to 15501 west 99th street, lenexa , kansas. i am reveiwing my credit report with a cred it counselor . i do not think my mothers payment was recorded or taken off my credit report. i hope i can find out the number of the card for which was paid. is this MACB valid and for real?
