i had a signature loan with this company in 2004. now in 2009 they have turned it over to a collection agency of lawyers. i am in north carolina. Last activity on this account was in 2004. Do they have a case or can i claim NC SOL. I also can not find anything the current account number to which they say this loan is under. Do i have an recourse?

SOL for North Carolina on a promissory note is 5 years. When was your last payment? The lawyers may jump in prior to the SOL expiring.
