question for you. I am being harrassed by phone by Nelson watson and Assoc. and they are calling the wrong number. Never been harrassed by phone before. What would you do? They have been calling daily for weeks asking for a person that doesn't live at my phone number.

Send them a C&D informing them that you are not the person they are calling for, nor does that person reside at that number. Send it CMRRR. I would simutaneously file complaints with the FTC and the FCC.

Is this right?

P.S., did you try saying "That person does not live here, and I want you to quit calling here" ?

If that don't work, use the C&D letter, Certified Mail , Return Receipt Requested. Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

I tell them everytime that the person does not live at that phone number, they refuse to believe me. The way they act I do not see how a letter mailed to them from me would make a difference. They tell me that I will stay on their list and keep calling til I tell them the phone number of the person they are asking for.

Then press charges.

Or: Leave the phone off the hook, change your phone number and keep it private, turn off the ringers, get a cell phone (or a new one, if you already got one and they call you on it)

I would not let them bug me. Cool

Tell them they are in violation of the FDCPA and if you will not hesitate to sue them. Then do it! You have an open shut case of harassment and your phone records to back it up. Even if it was your debt you would win. There are many attorneys who would take that case on contingency!

Wish I did have the phone records I didnt record em. I just called them and asked for the name they kept asking for when they call me. And told them I would call them back daily and harrass them the same as what they are doing to me every day they call me. ~I know this is childish but it made me feel good today...lol
