ok, so i had a remaining balance on a credit card for 60 dollars on discover. I paid it off as soon as i realized it was in collection. I filed an online dispute stating that it was supposed to be deleted on payment, but it looks like it failed. This is what my credit report now states:
Rate/Status: Bad debt; placed for collection; skip
Narrative Code 1 changed to: PAID CHARGE OFF
Narrative Code 2: CREDIT CARD
I filed the dispute with a CRA, so i'm not sure what else I can do... if anything.

wait, wait... on second glance I realized that this was posted from Equifax. I reported it only to Experian. This debt was paid 3/31, so I guess Equifax is simply catching up.
