They called last night at 8:51pm--at home and at work. I've filed chapter 13, so I know it probably isn't anyone legit calling. Maybe an old online pdl collector?

Call them back. You can always hang up on them if they get too pushy.

I called back and they (of course) won't tell you who they are. I just don't want to get involved in an argument with some illegal collection agency. All my debts are taken care of.

I couldn't find anything that might reveal who they are in a quick Google search.

Call and talk to them. Let them know they are violating your bankruptcy stay. They wont call back.

The thing is, I doubt they are violating my bankruptcy stay--because I'm pretty sure they are collecting for an an online pdl. They weren't included in the BK because I don't owe them anything, yet they still call.

Hope it's not "US National Bank" calling you. That sounds like their MO: calling on pay-day loans and refusing to identify who they are. Do these idiots just expect people to start handing over money to someone that just calls out of the blue and will not identify who they are or what company they are with!

Did whoever you talked to have Indian accents?

Whoever they are, do not give them any money if they refuse to validate the debt in writing and do not give them any banking information whatsoever.

You have to send them a registered letter telling them to stop calling you.
