I'm suprised it's even at the OC still with it being "seriously" past due.

Just take care of your health. Take care of you first! The others can wait.

They maybe have not put it with a CA just so they can do this harassment..if it was a CA doing this, they would be sued so fast their head would spin. If it does go all the way to me filing a police report and her getting popped for trespassing, then I may very well file a harassment suit since I will have proof of the harassment.

I can’t believe they would go through all that trouble to collect $150. If I had a collector treat me like that I would never pay unless a court forced me some how.

You know the devilish side of me would go out of my way to try arranging that meeting between Miss Bev' and the Po-Po!

If she calls you before she comes, I would be sure to call the police and have them there and waiting for her when she does arrive. Of course, you don't want to be abusing the legal system; however, it would be worth it to see her face when she comes rolling up in your driveway!

Have your front door open with that "Bad Boys" song from that TV show "Cops" blaring out of it!

LOL!

Forget the police, she would have been greeted by a S&W M&P .40 the first time she knocked on my door.

It's precisely that reason I cannot believe Miss Bev' goes door-to-door like that, collecting on loans.

She either thinks she's bullet-proof or she's incredibly stupid. I'm banking on the latter.

Well here is the low-down:

I called. She was not there so I left a very detailed message. Told them simply that I called the police and that if she shows up it is considered trespassing. The lady taking the message actually said Beverly would call the police to see if that is true..I told her to go right ahead. I wasn't bluffing.

Well....good ol' Beverly showed up at my door. I opened it and asked her if she got my message..she said no. So I told her to be gone, that she was trespassing and I would call the police. She went into her spiel about how she had a right yadda yadda. Then she says, "And you lied to the receptionist today.."

I interrupted her with, "Oh So you DID get the message." Then in her trademark condescending voice she said she spoke to some Captain so and so and he assured her what she was doing was legal...so go ahead and call the police. So I shrugged and flipped open the cell phone and called 911 to report her trespassing.

Then she actually waited..what a dumb a$$. She went on and on about how it was her right, that we owed the money yadda yadda..then she tried switching tactics, she got all squishy nice, "I know you are on hard times, we are only trying to help you, why just not to long ago I myselfr was in-"

I again interrupted her with, "Are you on drugs? Good cop/bad cop needs TWO people. I am not your friend. I have no wish to be your friend. I don't give two hoots what you went through, if you actually did go through anything other then horse manure (I used the 4 letter word starting with S).

Finally a cop came..he was a rookie..no stripes at all..he scratched his head and said he didn't know, then asked if we owed the money. I told him yes, we do..that is not the point. The point is no matter what we owe, she is on our property when told not to come and will not leave when asked.

Then she tried the, "It is not your property, you are just renters..." Oh yeah I backed down with that one sheesh. I told the cop 'yup we rent, we have tenant rights, this is our home while under lease.'

The cop finally said he just didn't know..his partner was coming and he would ask him. The other cop finally came...he obviously knew what he was doing..he went to good old Bev and wrote her out a trespass warning! She comes back, she gets arrested for criminal trespass. He did warn us that it was for her only, the company could send someone else and we would have to do this again.

So, when she slammed into her car and took off in a huff, I called the company again. Since the receptionist was so good at giving Bev the message I gave them a new one.

"If I get ONE more call. If my Contacts get ONE more call, We will not pay this debt. We will consider it paid for all the time and mental anguish you have caused us over this as payment in full. You will not see one red cent. Take us to court..we own nothing and garnishment is illegal. You will NEVER see a dime. Oh, and if you send other people to our house, we will simple do it again, each and every time and get trespass warnings on your entire office if need be, plus, we will take these multiple warnings the cops so graciously gave us and we will sue you...for obviously, sending different people to our house to get around a trespass warning would be considered harassment by any judge."

She sputtered. I made she she got every word..I repeated it..numerous times. She then said, "If Beverly has any questions, she will call."

I said, "Not if she wants to get paid she won't."

She responded: "Well I certainly won't call you!"

It was an unsecured loan, it was already paid down to less then $150 bucks when we defaulted. I understand a to-door for a repo, that is something else entirely, but this was just a typical little unsecured loan.

You know the funny thing is she honestly thought she was in the right..otherwise why would she wait around for the police? She said it is typical for these small loan places (even though I never head of it) she said that when a client does not communicate with them, they do home visits. I asked her if that was the case, then why did they do a home visit in the first place when I was calling THEM twice a week to keep them informed and why did they still call every day AND call my contacts when I was doing as they asked...she said she didn't know the rep had me call twice a week. I simply told her that she needs to have better communication with her own dang people if she ever hoped to have good communication with the clients.

I wonder if she does this to a bunch of people every day or if she just targeted you for some reason. I wouldn't think it would take to long to get the wrong guy on the wrong day and end up in the hospital all over $150. What an idiot. Way to stand up for yourself Golden. I would stick them on the very bottom of the pay list assuming I ever considered paying them after what she did.

Maybe it is just me..I am just such a charming person when harassed. She did not like the fact that I did not intimidate over the phone and such..but seriously, even if I was a timid little mouse..I can't pay what I don't have.

This is totally absurd. I would definitely look into suing, maybe for trepassing. Good for you for calling the police. Now you have it on the record.

Is this a payday lender? Where I used to live, I had heard a storefront payday lender manager would actually come to your house if you defaulted. It was just hearsay though and I don't think its "typical" like she says. Like DollarsandSince said, all it would take would be the wrong person on the wrong day and she would not only be trepassing, she would be dead. $150 is worth your life? Is this woman an idiot? The answer to that would be yes!

Way to go, Golden!! OMG, the only people I ever heard who make housecalls like that are Tony Soprano and the boys! For a friggin $150 bucks, amazing.
Nice to see that the PDL industry hires the mentally handicapped...And by the way, thanks for putting a smile on my face--I just loved the vision of good ol' Bev having the smirk wiped off her face when da fuzz pulled up!!
