Pallisades Collection LLc

My mother received an attorney advertisement regarding the following recent public record: Palisades Collection LLC vs. (my mother's name). My mother has not been well lately and does not recall receiving a letter from Palisades Collection. I am trying to help correct her situation, but I am not sure where to start. Any suggestions?

Welcome to the community Sandra. The first thing I would suggest is calling your local court house to see if a suit has been filed. Let us know what you find out and we'll go from there.

Hi JCEMT!

Thank you for your suggestion. Unfortunately I do not have good news. I called the local courthouse; they located a suit that was filed in 2007. I don't believe my mother has taken care of this and I am not sure what to do next.

Did they serve her with the civil complaint/summons?
Was she even aware of the situation?

To be honest with you, I am not sure. She has not been feeling well lately and I am not sure if I can get the information I need. I dont mind helping her, but I don't know what to do next.

You are going to need a get a power of attorney. It's the first step to getting personal information released.

Should I contact the agency first to check the status or go directly to an attorney?
