Do you have proof that the debt was paid off?

They have not supplied me with any real proof on the debt except they are collecting it for New Century Fincial Services. I do have check records showing the debt I think they are talking about paid off.

Hi Golden Child you need to bring that proof with you to court that the debt was settled and the judge will dismiss the case, if you want to save yourself a trip to court send the proof to the CA registered mail also

Golden Child--

Is Pressler and Pressler located in NJ? If so, I just looked at the BBB report and according to them, Pressler and Pressler are not a member and have an unsatisfactory record with them. There were a total of 13 complaints reported in the last 36 months.

You need to be completely sure on what debt they are taking you to court for. Bring the wrong information is not going to help you.

I would call them and ask for account information. Be sure to write it all down and don't forget to get their mailing address.

If the account, or any account for that matter, had been paid or previously settled you need to get a zero balance letter. It will state that the account has been settled or paid in full.

They are cockroaches, fraudulant scumbags that are as crooked as a rat squirming in a hole, they are trying to pull me down, I intend to take action against these bottom feeders.

I am being sued by these people. This is for interest on those interest-free offers when you make a large purchase. I had paid the due amount religiously every month as soon as the bill was received. The very last month I never received the bill and didn't pay it. A few days after the due date I received notice that I was to pay $1,800 in accrued interest for not paying the owed amount in full by the deadline. After several attempts to reason with the company, they still refused to not charge me the "accrued interest". I informed them that as far as I knew I was only responsible for the last monthly payment which I immediately paid and nothing else. After 4 years, I received this summons from Pressler & Pressler. Should I contact an attorney since I'm not willing to pay them the $1800 or am I wasting my money?
Thank you for your prompt reply.

Sincerely,
