LVNC is a collection agency, there should've been some type of number on your report, but maybe not, that isn't always the case. By the way, I love your name!

Try this number for LVNV Funding, 888-665-0374. Ask them to show you details of the item they are reporting on your credit. If they can't prove, they should remove the item otherwise it will be an unauthorized reporting and violation of the FCRA laws.

They are one of the largest junk debt purchasers. They usually farm the collection of the "debt" out to one of their other companies. They've also tried to answer letters demanding validation with fake affidavits. I hear they are also well known for trying to illegally re-age debts on CRs.

I have an account with these guys. They will not validate and when I call them they are as rude as ever. I've told them I don't have any problems paying it. I would even do a check by phone but they refuse to send me the information I need. I think it is an old phone bill and I know I have one or two out there from when my husband was in the military but they won't provide me with the billing address so I can verify because I didn't recognize the # or the A/C.

They are difficult. Maybe you will have better luck than I.

Hi. I received a letter from LVNV notifying me that "application is being made by the judgement-creditor, to my county's court for a Wage Execution Order to issue againt my salary, and to be served upon my employer". It goes on to list my employers name and address, the amount of the debt, the amount to be garnished from my salary, an "E&S" Number (whatever the heck that is) ), a docket number, account number, and phone extentsion. My question is, can you provide me with a sample validation request letter? I have no idea what to ask or how to draw it up. Thanks

you must request validation within 30 days of rcving a demand letter. The letter that states someone is representing lvnv funding in the aid of collecting a dbt your time to req validation has past.
